Description

A randomized controlled trial in 128 patients with H. pylori gastritis compared four 1-week regimens: clarithromycin alone (C), omeprazole + clarithromycin (OC), clarithromycin + tinidazole (CT), and omeprazole + clarithromycin + tinidazole (OCT). The OCT regimen proved highly effective for H. pylori eradication, with each component essential to its success.
Its efficacy is minimally affected by pre-treatment metronidazole resistance, and it was found that the inclusion of omeprazole helps prevent acquired antibiotic resistance.
