Description

A literature review of 192 studies (264 treatment arms) assessed one-week clarithromycin-based triple therapies for Helicobacter pylori eradication. Intention-to-treat data from 151 studies showed consistently high eradication rates, with little difference between regimens overall. The most effective combinations included clarithromycin, a nitroimidazole, and either ranitidine bismuth citrate or high-dose omeprazole, also generally associated with higher eradication rates.
