Description

Probiotics given before or after standard triple therapy significantly improve H. pylori eradication rates with minimal side effects. A multicenter randomized trial involving 234 H. pylori–positive gastritis patients investigated whether adding probiotics could improve eradication rates of standard triple therapy. Per-protocol analysis showed eradication rates of 81.6% and 82.4%. Symptom relief rates were comparable across groups, and adverse effects were rare.
