Description

A comparison of oral fluconazole and topical clotrimazole for treating candidal balanitis in men showed both options to be equally effective and well tolerated. Most patients improved within a week, with similar cure and fungal eradication rates. Oral treatment was preferred by some, especially those with previous topical therapy, though relapses were more common in patients with a history of recurring infections.
